Ronen Joseph (American Standard)
Born in Tel-Aviv Israel in 1958, Ronen Joseph completed his B.A in Industrial design at Tel-Aviv University 1987, then moving onto his Masters in Industrial Design from Domus Academy Milan, Italy in 1990.Ronen's early works included the collaboration with Atelier Mendini for the design and realization of Merone modern art museum, after which he began work in Italy with Bernini S.p.A as an art director and in charge of the internal development and engineering department. In 1995 Ronen Joseph opened his own studio in Milan. Composed of five designers, the studio's activity was among other things dedicated to furniture and house hold products and consumer objects which saw work done for, among others, clients such as Montblanc, Bernini, Donati and Ideal Standard. Some of Ronen's most recent work includes the highly acclaimed and anticipated Imagine Collection of bathroom sanitaryware from Ideal Standard.
David Clark (Vogue Living)
David Clark has worked in the interior design industry for more than 20 years and is currently the Editor of Vogue Living. After initially studying law, David explored a passion for textiles, selling interior furnishing fabrics in Sydney and London. Ten years later he returned to Brisbane and his first love - architecture - completing a bachelor of Design Studies at the University of Queensland. While working with an architect in Brisbane and teaching at the University, the publishing world beckoned, taking David to Sydney as an architectural and design writer. After working as Design and Deputy Editor for Belle magazine, he took over at the helm of Vogue Living. His career has always been focused on design in the home. David is committed to raising the level of design awareness within Australia by engaging people through its fascinating and inspiring qualities.
Chris Goss (Director - Orbit Solutions)
Chris Goss is an alumni of the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Environmental Design and Bachelor of Architecture. Chris, 35, founded award-winning architecture and design practice Orbit Solutions in 1999, inspired by a vision of a new approach to architectural services. Goss has worked in Australia and Europe as a design architect and architectural I.T. consultant and has established business operations in Melbourne, Sydney, Vienna and in the coming months Orbit will be setting up an office in Abu Dhabi. Chris is actively involved in the Victorian Planning Environmental Law Association as a board member. Chris is regularly invited to speak at the University of Tasmania, Victoria University, Deakin University, BDAV, RAIA and VCAT. From 2000 to 2007 many of Orbit’s projects have been awarded by the Building Designers Association of Victoria including: 2007 Building Design of the Year, 2007 Best Commercial Design New Project, 2003, 2004 and 2007 Best Multi-Unit Residential Dwellings to name a few.
Jan Mackey (POL Oxygen)
Jan Mackey is the founding and present editor of the international title POL Oxygen magazine (born 2002) which looks at designers, architects and artists who are walking on the world stage. She finds the ability of designers to think outside the square (or even to ignore its existence) a constant inspiration and is inspired by their skills in form-giving through rigorous technical process.
Belinda Geels (Reece)
After successfully completing a double degree in Marketing/Management, Belinda Geels was eager to pursue a career with an industry leader where she could explore her love for consumer behaviour in retail marketing. After securing a graduate position with Reece, Belinda worked her way from the grass roots up, developing skills in marketing and gaining extensive product knowledge in toilets, basins, tapware and all things bathroom. In 2007 Belinda won the HAV large store category Young Retailer of the Year and after 4 years with Reece is now Bathroom Marketing Manager.
Belinda is passionate about innovation in bathroom product development, particularly when a product is design centric without compromising functionality. She is excited to work for an organisation that embraces Australian innovation and promotes the importance of beautiful bathroom design.
